Aquarium Live HD+ Screensaver App Reviews

Was expecting so much more. Video is low resolution (not sharp, or correctly contrasted) and shows very poorly on a 27" iMac - the standard or 5K variety. None of the videos creates what you would see if looking at an aquarium - just a small portion of one - for example there are no sides or top, as a real aquarium would have. Disappointed and do not recommend this app.

This is one of my favorite apps. I spend several minutes every day just watching the beautiful fish. I just wish all apps worked so well!

While the fish are pretty, the screensaver still grabs the screen while you are working and also it still disappears as your screensaver and the default screensaver you previously selected on your computer is the one you see. I have tried over and over to reactivate the application and I continue to have these issues. These problems were mentioned previously by reviewers, but I thought by now (9/2015) they should have been corrected….but not so.

I like this app. I enjoy all the colorful fish movement, very relaxing. My cat loves watching all the fish. It’s his favorite pastime. I recommend this application to all my friends.

I have my iMac set up with a second display (two monitors) and, when this screen saver starts, it only displays the aquarium on one of the two screens. It allows you to swap between the two displays, but it will not play the video across both (mirrored or extended).

This is a most excellent desktop aquarium program. I got both this and the matching one that does the desktop wall paper from the same company and love them both. It is great that there is a free lite version as that got me hooked. I appreciate the high quality of the video recordings. For years I kept many aquariums, both fresh water, marine fish and coral tanks. Currently Im tankless and this helps fill that desire. What I would like to see is the loop of the recording be majorly longer and more tanks. My suggestion would be to bring them out as individual deluxe modules where each tank is a separate app with its own tank data set (the recording) that is much longer. A full hour would be fantastic if that were possible. Maybe by splitting the tanks up that would work. This way a user could get hooked on the free lite version, buy the four tank version with the five minute loops and later as they decide what they really want buy the deluxe versions with the much longer loops. The trick would be having the apps all be able to share data.

Have the calming beauty of an aquarium with a natural environment without the expense.

I have been enjoying this application until recently when preferences window started popping up every time I restart my MacBook Pro. I contacted support and after several days they said there was nothing they could do because they are unable to duplicate the problem and no on else has reported this issue.

Be sure to read the usage recommendations, I didn’t. This was too grainy on my 27”.

This software is a cheap piece of crap. The aquarium scenes are just lousy recordings of aquariums. This is a rip off.
